The Glass Holly Leaf Necklace you see here features two of my handmade glass holly leaf beads and three holly berries, accented by six green firepolished Czech crystals and hung on 14/20 Gold-Filled figure-eight chain. Like real holly leaves these have mottled coloring which is achieved by layering transparent glass over opaque glass. The points along the edges of the leaves have been rounded over so there is nothing sharp to cut fingers or catch on clothing. The copper wire stems of the holly berries are embedded inside the glass and cannot be pulled free. Because these beads are hand-formed one at a time in the flame of a torch no two are ever exactly alike.
The larger holly leaf on this necklace is about 1.5 inches long and the smaller leaf about 1.25 inches long. By default the holly berries are Christmas Red but I can also make them in a burgundy-red by special order.
The standard length for the necklace you see above is 18” and it is finished with a toggle clasp. Different lengths and clasp styles are available by special order.
