Man's Single Glass Blueberry (Ripe) Necklace on Rubber Cord with Sterling Silver Findings

Man's Single Glass Blueberry (Ripe) Necklace
on Rubber Cord with Sterling Silver Findings
NBBR-NLS

This Glass Blueberry Necklace was designed for a man with an active lifestyle. He wanted to wear the necklace around the clock during both strenuous physical activity and business meetings. We settled on the 6mm rubber cord because it repels stains and perspiration. To clean it, just wear it through the shower. The cord has a sleek sterling silver bayonnet clasp that won't hang up on clothing and lays flat under a collar. For more formal occasions the sterling silver bail can be slid off the black cord and slid over any other sterling silver chain that is 8mm or smaller in diameter.

Like all my glass blueberry beads this one was created by melting glass in the flame of a torch directly onto the twisted end of a copper wire, which became the stem. Because the copper stem is embedded inside the glass it can never be pulled free. The points of the flower star on the end of each blueberry have been rounded to prevent them from chipping and so they cannot snag on clothing. The surface coloring of each berry is achieved by sprinkling it with powdered glass which is then completely melted into the surface. Because no paint is used the color will never rub, flake or chip off. These berries are made one at a time so no two are exactly alike.

The length of the necklace you see above is 18” and it is finished with a sterling silver bayonnet clasp. This 6mm rubber cord is also available in 16 and 20 inch lengths. Alternatively, the bail and berry could be used with a different chain or cord of your choice in leather, silver, or other materials. Just let me know your requirements when you order. You can see alternate blueberry necklace designs and matching blueberry jewelry by viewing the Blueberries Page of this site.

Blueberry jewelry can also be custom made with high-karat gold or platinum findings and accented with gemstone beads. Some examples can be viewed on the Custom Jewelry Page.

Ordering information is available on the Order and Contact Page.
