The Glass Peach Necklace you see here features one of my handmade glass peach beads, accented by six green firepolished Czech crystals and hung on 14/20 Gold-Filled figure-eight chain. Like real peaches, each of my glass peaches has a matte surface with areas of dark red blush and a crease down one side. Each peach bead is created by melting glass in the flame of a torch, directly onto the twisted end of a copper wire which becomes the stem. Because the copper stem is embedded inside the glass it can never be pulled free. The ripe blush is achieved by melting several colors of powdered glass onto the surface, so it will not rub, flake or chip off. No two peaches are exactly alike.
The standard length for the necklace you see above is 18” and it is finished with a toggle clasp. Different lengths and clasp styles are available by special order. Like all of my jewelry, this design is available in both 14/20 Gold-Filled and Sterling Silver.
