The Glass Strawberry Necklace you see here features one of my handmade glass strawberry beads, accented by six green firepolished Czech crystals and hung on Sterling Silver figure-eight chain. Like real strawberries, each is made with dozens of individual seeds set into tiny depressions on its surface. The leaves of each strawberry have been melted onto the surface and their tips slightly rounded so they will not chip or snag on clothing. These beads are hand-formed in the flame of a torch from colored glass. As a result, the color will not rub, flake or chip off, and no two strawberries are exactly alike.
The strawberry shown is Crimson in color, so it is fully ripe. A more tart Scarlet is available by special order.
The standard length for the necklace you see above is 18” and it is finished with a toggle clasp. Different lengths and clasp styles are available by special order. Like all of my jewelry, this design is available in both 14/20 Gold-Filled and Sterling Silver.
