The Five Glass Aspen Leaf Necklace you see here features five of my handmade glass aspen leaf beads, accented by six olivine green Swarovski crystals and hung on 14/20 Gold-Filled figure-eight chain. Like real aspen leaves, these have subtle variations in color and shape. These beads are hand-formed in the flame of a torch by layering a transparent glass color over an opaque one. No two glass leaves are exactly alike.
I've made an attempt to capture the autumn color transition as the aspen leaves mature from their summer green. They begin by turning yellow around the edges. There is a moment when most of the leaves on a given aspen tree are a uniform bright yellow. Soon after the color deepens to a golden yellow, and then some brown appears just before the leaves fall.
The total length of the necklace you see above is 18 inches and it is finished with a lobster clasp. You may vary the length between 17 inches and 19 inches by clipping the lobster onto any link in the last few inches of the chain. A small glass leaf dangles at the free end of the chain. If you would like your necklace to be shorter or longer than the standard simply specify the desired length when you order. Different clasp styles are also available by special order.
