This Glass Gooseberry Bracelet features five of my glass Gooseberry beads. The glass gooseberries are accented by Swarovski crystals in various shades of yellow-green and golden green as small green glass leaves. These Gooseberry beads were created one at a time by melting glass in the flame of a torch, so no two are exactly alike.
Each of these glass gooseberries has a translucent skin with delicate white veins running down the sides from the stem to the dried flower at the tip, and you can see the seeds inside. I generally make the gooseberries in a tart yellow-green color but they can also be sweeter (golden-green) or fully ripe (golden). If you have a preference for specific colors please let me know in your email when you order. Because no paint is used the color of these beads will never rub, flake or chip off. Each gooseberry has been formed by applying hot glass onto a copper wire stem. The glass dried flower on the end of each gooseberry is also reinforced with copper wire inside and its edges have been rounded to prevent it from catching on clothing.
For strength the bracelet is strung on 49-strand stainless steel beading wire with a green covering and it is finished with 14/20 Gold-Filled findings. The length of the bracelet you see above can be adjusted between 7 and 9 inches by clipping the lobster clasp into the link of your choice. I can also make the bracelet in a different length, with different clasp style or with sterling silver findings if you prefer - just specify your requirements in your email when you order.
